Violin
After receiving her BA degree from St. Olaf College, Coral taught school orchestra, as well as private violin lessons. She has been a guest soloist with the Black Hills Symphony and the St. Olaf Orchertra. In addition to 30 years as Concertmaster with the BHSO she has performed in the St. Paul symphony, Wyoming Symphony, Black Hills Chamber Orchestra, Black Hills Trio and the Black Hills String Quartet. She is currently a member of the Helena Symphony.
Coral began teaching the Suzuki Violin Method at MacPhail Center in Minneapolis, MN, while an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota. After moving to Rapid City, SD, she founded the Black Hills Suzuki School, which currently has over 120 violin, viola and cello students enrolled in the Suzuki Method. Currently she teaches traditional and Suzuki method violin lessons at Music Makers Conservatory.
Coral has recnetly moved to Helena to be closer to family. Her hobbies include, hiking, snowshoeing, race walking, tennis, beading, and reading. She has received many local, regional and national awards for her artistic and educational endeavors.
